manga chutney


green mango  one
toor dal half cup
red chilly  2 or 3
coconut  half a cup
pepper 10 numbers.


In a kadai, pour oil and add red chilly saute;  then add toor dal when the dal turns colour add the pepper and then  raw grated mango, allow it to cook nicely.   then add the coconut and saute for few minutes.

now put all these in a mixture along with salt.  add little water. grind it well.. in the end add mustard and curry leaf sauted in oil.
chutney is ready

for this type of chutney  kili mooku manga is highly preferable.  which we call it local langauage ottu managai.
note :  if you have an oven you can cook the grated mango for 3 minutes.  and then saute it.  it makes it faster.
